We’re inviting everyday people to surrender their lives to Jesus & share their faith with others.
God’s Design
God loves you. He created you and he wants you to have a personal relationship with Him. There’s just one thing that stands in the way. Sin.
Sin
Sin is our disobedience to God. It’s our failure to measure up to God’s standard of holiness as we choose to do things our own way. The truth is, we’ve all missed the mark. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). Sin leads us to a place of brokenness. We see this in the world around us and in our own personal life. Our relationship with God is broken. Our relationship with others is broken. And, because of sin, God’s design for the world is broken.
Gospel
Thankfully, the story doesn’t end there. God loves you too much to leave you in your brokenness. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) By sending His Son, Jesus, to live the sinless life you can’t live and to die the death you deserve, He has provided a way for you to be forgiven and restored. The Bible says, “Christ died for our sins, according to Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
Surrender
Salvation is a gift, but each person must choose to accept this gift. The way to accept this gift is by admitting your sinful brokenness and asking God to forgive you, while believing and trusting in the saving work of Jesus when he died on the cross, was buried and was raised on the third day. Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Are you ready to surrender your life to Jesus?
- Admit that you’re a sinner
- Believe that Jesus died for your sins
- Confess that Jesus is the Lord of your life
Pray
God, I know that I am a sinner and I want to be forgiven. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin, that he was buried, that he rose from the grave and is alive right now. Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Forgive me for my sins and be the Lord of my life. Amen.
